Election Guidelines
>Elections to the GSO E-board are held in the last few weeks of the spring semester. All enrolled graduate students are eligible to contest. Elections of both departmental and non-departmental sub organization officers are usually held during the last few weeks of each spring semester. Departmental sub organizations must also elect Senators who will act as representatives of their organizations in the GSO Senate. (more…)

GSO and University-wide Committees
>One of the main objectives of the GSO is to advocate and ensure student representation at the University level. To this end, the GSO asks members of the graduate student community at SUNY-Binghamton to sign up as volunteers for various University-Wide Committees. Descriptions of all committees are provided in the PDF Document attached. Interested in signing up? Leave your contact info with the GSO and it will be forwarded to the committee you have chosen to serve on.

The GSCTRF

Structure of the GSO

GSO Senate
The Senate is made up of the GSO E-board and senators from all departmental and non-departmental sub-organization. It is the representative and decision-making body of the GSO. The Senate approves budget allocations, amendments, charters, expenditures, statements and oversees other GSO related activities. The Senate meets at the Graduate Students (GSO) Lounge (main floor of Library Tower, near the Coffee Kiosk and elevators). Meetings are held twice a month during the academic terms, usually on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Senate meetings are open to the public.

>Senate Meeting would be held at 4:30 pm in the GSO lounge.
